Greetings! I entered the financial services industry in 1987 after 16 years in real estate sales and management. My focus as an Elder Planning Counselor and financial planner is to provide my clients with information on a broad range of investment asset classes. This enables clients to make investment choices that match their personal risk tolerance but maximize consistent returns in preparation for generating retirement income.
My association with LifePlan Financial Group allows me to offer a broad range of investment solutions. Insurance company products, including Segregated Funds (those mutual funds with air-bags!) plus Manulife Bank with all banking services including mortgages and lines of credit is through LifePlan Financial Group. Personal Pension Plans for incorporated professionals and small business owners is by referral. Customized managed investment portfolios by wealth management companies is also by referral.
My clients have grown older with me, so an important part of my practice includes Will, Trust, and Estate planning. Privacy and confidentiality, trust and personal attention, and being available at all times to respond to the needs of my client are my priorities.
On a personal note, I grew up on Vancouver Island and now live in Nanaimo, the hub of the Island. From here, North Island communities, Victoria, and Vancouver are easy access. My three sons are Islanders too; they have given me six grandchildren, plus five great-grandchildren. My life has been a six generation education in family dynamics and values, counting from my grandparents to the newest family members.
Hello! I am Trang, an MBA candidate specialized in Finance from Vancouver Island University. During my study, I achieved the Top Student Award in the Fall 2018 MBA Program. I also was given recognition in the Deans’ Honour List for the 2018/2019 academic year.
I hold a Bachelor of Accountancy from the Academy of Finance in Hanoi, Vietnam and have almost ten years of accounting experience for public accounting firms. I processed clients’ data with patience and carefulness as I understand that the client’s confidentiality is important through many years of working with tax agents.
It is a great opportunity for me to serve my internship at Master Financial Services Corp. I believe that working under the instruction and guidance of my manager, Julia Jenkins EPC, will provide me with an opportunity to observe and learn real-life experience in the finance field. I am looking forward to serving her clients and continuing to support the values that her business has been pursuing.
Van has successfully completed her MBA internship with Master Financial Services Corp. and graduated from VIU.
She has moved to Victoria to work for Megson FitzPatrick Insurance Services as Licensed Account Manager.
